Neskaupstaður — CLOSED 2025

The campsite is located at a beautiful viewpoint by the avalanche defences in Drangagil, above Víðimýri. The area has showers, toilets, electricity, a playground and a beach volleyball court. You can walk up to the defences and enjoy magnificent views over the town, the fjord and the mountains.

Norðfjörður Swimming Pool is a cool outdoor pool with beautiful mountain views, hot tubs and two large slides. In the immediate vicinity of the pool is the Neskaupstaður Amusement Park. There are horse riding stables in Norðfjörður, just inside the town, with horse rentals, and even further inland, Norðfjörður Golf Club runs a fun nine-hole golf course.
